Pete Jones Show

Each week Pete Jones features live bands in session, plus new local acts and under the radar music with a playlist solely made up of local music, live Mondays 5-7pm, repeated Friday 12am-2pm.

Thanks for all the messages & texts of support sent in, as always - very much appreciated. We are now raring to go for the Autumn now - got a great line up of guests booked to come in with more on the horizon. September kicked off with a session with Clipper on the 7th and Satori Vibes on 14th. The Indelicates came in 21st, Jack Pout in on the 5th October & Matt Finucane coming in tonight (12th Oct) with Alternate Function pencilled in for 19th. A recap of 2015's sessions so far looks like this: we started off with a live session from The Palings with Mir Cooke, then Dirty Weekend dropping by for some fun n frollix. From there we had the incredible Will Johns & Jasmine Rodgers in prior to their Ranelagh gig, Joe Colburn came in, guitarist from Dirty Weekend for some solo action plus Big World Blue, FabulousRedDiesel, Mauve People & The Real Si-B. We then had Alternate Function in to promote their ep Lights & sounded great, then Jamie Mathias & The Close Shave on same bill. The Equatorial Group followed, into Nick Williams & Holly Macve on another double header. The Speak, Patrick Naylor & Aniseed Treats came in around May time. Since then we have had Half Hour Hotel playing very live indeed, and Mr David Sinclair with his guitarist Geoff for a paired down session and a chat about the new album David Sinclair Four. Ollie Willis, after winning the Hobgobblin Guitar Awards 2015 came in & the Frank Greene Band stopped by for some beautiful soulfoul harmies too. By the way, thanks too to all the great acts that made 2014 so special too - check this list out: sessions included such local talent as Beth Morris, Red Butler, The Standard Lamps and StoneThief. We've also had Anderson Bell, The Galleons & Jipsy Magic plus many others including Jamie Mathias, Lonesome Heights and Antonia Redding. James Morris came in July for a bit of old school rock & roll and rhythm n blues and blew us away. We then had the lovely Choice band, Matthew English, Paul Diello and Oh Captain! The Lanes, Alex Thomas, Uncle Arthur and Tenderhooks then Sanity FM, Stone by Window Simon Tilbury & Martin Lee. Simon Scardinelli, Jetglo Mr Paul Diello and chums again, Chris Priest & Jen from Seeker too. Vern Asbury, Antonia Redding & Mike from Rise of the Ziggurat all came in too at the end of the year. Thanks for all your continuing support and listenership - The Pete Jones Show is now in it's 8th year on Reverb and it's great to feel that we're going from strength to strength.
